To earn weapon unlocks on our servers you shall use BF2Hub to play online.
Their unlock system is explained here: https://www.bf2hub.com/unlocks

If you use another system to log in and play the multiplayer, then you should play on servers that are ranked on that system (I'm thinking PlayBF2?) to have your unlocks with that system.

Our servers are ranked on BF2Hub systems, so you have to play with a BF2Hub Account in order to rank up, earn your unlock points, and spend them on the Tier 1 and Tier 2 weapons.
