I have the same Problem as Jostotest. I even have a Hard Copy of it. But it seems like we cant Install with the Disc anymore. If i put the Disc in, i dont have the Option to Install it. Only to Uninstall... I had it on my PC, but i took it down someday. (Nobody used to Play it -.-). And i cant find the xpack Folder anywhere... So, how does it Work yet ? Some Help/Suggestions would be Sweet smiling Thx :*

If somebody has the same Issue as me. The Bf2 Special Forces Installer seems to be Buggy. The Option to Uninstall, was the Option to Install in my Case. amused

Thanks

This is the Way you can take, to get to the Folder. I think you have to Change the Name of the Folder (xpack)

xpack - is located in the Mods Folder

And then should it Work. Right ?

Rename folder, try to run SF through Revive launcher, it will prompt you to DL/install it. Once it's done, you should be good.
Thanks

England jostotest got it? You need to rename the xpack folder that you find in the path pictured above by Galactic|Pegasus. Once you do that, and you start the Revive Launcher again, it will prompt you to re-download Special Forces (and it will install it when finished downloading).

But before doing all this, I would attempt to launch Special Forces first and see if it works! Laugh You can find three ways to boot it, in the If you have Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 spoiler here.

Thread /moved in the Support Forum where it belongs. wink

Ok guys thank you for all your support, However , my bf2 game has to be started in a strange way,I had so much troble getting it to work in win7 64 bit, that i had to get my son to help, he created 4 files on my desktop, I have to empty one ,paste .into it from another, then delete profiles in the third and paste profiles into it from the fourth file, a long winded way , but it works, I have decided to leave things alone, or it may destroy my set up. I am not computer literate , As we say in the UK, " if it aint broke, don,t fix it".

Have a look at the complicated way I have to do things in, the help post in this thread.

Pegasus, would you forget you own a CD for me please? ^.^
I thought you fixed it by having the Launcher re-download it for you.

@England jostotest Okay buddy, no worries; the way you've found to boot the game sounds a little bit complicated - I've read the other thread for more informations - so if you don't want to risk it, it's ok.

If you change your mind, the only thing you need to do is the following, and I also think it is compatible with the process you describe here:
 • Download this file: xpack.rar
 • Extract its contents in this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods
 • Boot Battlefield 2 as you described above, then once you're in the main menu go to COMMUNITY >
    > CUSTOM GAMES, click on the Special Forces row and click the Activate button on the bottom
right. The game will reboot, and you'll be able to join the Special Forces Server.
