I use the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware Version 6.0. its been good for me for removing spyware for years, Scanned my p/c 12 days ago, rescaned it today ,and its picked up 912 cookies, a lot in just 12 days, not serious, but junk anyway.

If you know what you're doing, you don't need any anti virus.

What's a porn site,? my preacher did mention something about them once, but I forget what he said,
I also use Avast free, cookies can be got rid of in google history or window search. But a little extra free prog, adds a bit of help.

Used to agree with this but some sites such as those with football streams which I use are loaded with potential security risks, even to an expert user. My Firewall & Anti-Spyware make numerous blocks from malicious addresses when I visit them. Also, I like the features such as the Secure/Protected Browser which open automatically when I do Internet Banking or PayPal for example.
I personally wouldn't recommend using that program though jostotest - Also, cookies are not a bad thing, you don't need to delete any of them really unless they are compromised / infected.
If you don't want to pay / don't know how to get Professional Grade security for free (how to find a valid license/patch) then you should just use Windows Defender. That will do everything you need, it's actually very underrated. Couple that with regular monitoring/cleaning by CCleaner and Adblock Plus in your browser and you should be fine.
If you are happy to pay / do know how to get it for free then you should disable Windows Defender and use this:
Having tried nearly every Antivirus / AntiSpyware solution available I landed on ESET during the nod32 days and it was already the best back then. Simply nothing comes close. It does everything you could ask, you won't need any other Security/Antivirus software. It has a very small Memory/CPU Footprint so you will barely notice it's even running until you need to know about it, for example when you have a problem to solve. In 6/7 years of installing & using ESET products on my Desktops, Laptops, SmartPhones, Family's & Friends PCs I've never suffered from a single Virus or any form of Spyware / Hack attempt.
Couple ESET Smart Security with CCleaner and you're all set.
