Based on the recommendation here I purchased the HyperX Cloud II and it is by far the best headset I have ever used! 7.1 surround is amazing and it is super comfortable. Well worth the price I paid.
Thanks

Hey peeps, shouldn't you also post which sound card you are using ?
The best 7:1 headphones in the world aint worth a bag of puke if all you can put through them is squeeky streo.

Who else can put thier audio settings on ultra high ?

a few years ago when i had some money to spare (oh, those were the days) i got myself a Creative X-Fi soundcard and Creative Fatal1ty headphones, they are getting on in years now but still serve me well.
I was at the local media outlet a couple of weeks ago and was going to buy the wireless version of the same headphones (i almost got those screaming yellow ones from Corsair but even in my own house i'm too shy to wear them) i was walking down to the checkout and saw that there was about 20 people there so i pt them back and walked out.
You could end up paying a lot of money for headphones you dont need or cant use OR you can spend some time with google and get a lot of phones for a little money.
The difference in quality is not in direct relation to the difference in price.

Here we have a perfect example of a cheap, reliable, ... well not that cheap, unless you only look at the cost of the mic amused

On the soundcard side I have a FiioE10K as my dac and attached to it I have a Little Dot MKII tube amplifier that is currently running Voshod 6ZH1P-EV radius tubes as drivers and novosibirsk 6N6 power tubes (=valves in british english) smiling

Moving on, that's nice!

Obviously I am referring to the gear; not sure what that thing in the middle is. That your head?
I like your hair style then. amused ahah But, are you not going to spoil us with the details of how you ... assembled ... this headset? ahah

Regardless, thanks for sharing.

that is my headphone stand, pineapples really are a multipurpose fruit.

Well.. I totally bought the mic from eBay for 1,16 eur, disassembled it and then proceeded to hotglue it to the side of my headset tongue

Originally I was planning on using 3d printed parts to make it a modmic copy, but the mic had a proper swiveling mount on it from the factory so thought I'd just use that instead.

I really wanted a pair without cable with 7.1 sound, tried a set from Creative and the yellow ones from Corsair but the difference in sound was so much that i got a set from Sennheiser with cable.
