just wont do anything when i click on play now.

footnote, someone said try and launch from bf2,exe,
Have looked in the games directory, cant see it in there.

Sorry about all this trouble Mitch . although i have bulit p/cs in my time, I am not very good within programs, I was never taught anything about p/c's Picked it up as I went along.

Earlier you stated that you replaced profile 001 and profile 002 documents. Correct me if I'm wrong but after you replaced both of those files isn't that when the error started occurring?

Delete these from My Documents and allow it to create new Profiles for you. Then carefully replace some of the files with your settings/controls one by one. Check inside the files to ensure you are not replacing something you don't want to that has been created for you by opening the game / logging in.

For example, keep the new Global.con and Profile.con - don't overwrite these with old files.

Have taken out my two profile files, and put back the original 001 file that came withe download, Still wont work.

All the time i was testing, ( going in and out of game) it worked, it stopped when I shut down the launcher, and reopened it.
It worked before then with their 001 file, and also when I took it out nad out my two 001 and 002 files in its place,

Josty, go into your game directory and run the file titled 'BF2.exe'. This should open the game and then type your log-in details to connect.

Just delete everything inside of My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles

Apart from if you have a folder called default, keep that.

It will create fresh ones for you.

You might also want to delete the folder inside: My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache - It should be a long string of numbers/letters.
