Okay, so seeing as i've started a thread called "Telly stuff" i'll put in some more good stuff (i thought) to watch.
1] Westworld
A recreation park with robots so lifelike that they are indistinguishable from humans, the guests can shoot them, have sex with them, anything they want, then they are deleted, and repaired for the next guests.
But the robots start retaining memories......
(i still remember the film of the same name with Yul Brynner)
2] The Expanse
I read the books before the series started and the series has captured them very well, they pay attention to physics in how space travel is portrayed, if you want to be able to walk around while accelerating then the space ship only accelerates with 1G, if it takes 10 hours to get to maximum velocity then 10 hours before you reach your destination you are going to have to turn the spaceship around (short period of 0 gravity for which they have magnetic boots) and start braking.
The Mars colonisation has now been going on for so long that they have had a war of independance from earth, then there are the people who mine resources and occupy space stations in the asteroid belt (Belters)
The story is set in space but it it as much a detective mystery as sci fi.
3] Into the Badlands
The series is based on a comic story where there is a lot of swordplay and martial arts, the story is there and it is quite a good one but it's mainly all about the fight scenes which are amazingly good for such a comparitively low budget series, just as good if not better than any mega-million hollywod pic.
some of the best fight scenes can bee seen on youtube.
