Holy fucking shit what a great rig you got there dude! Compliments. Please apply your usual CD-Key (the one from the 64 machine maybe? Well whatever, use your usual CD-Key, in case of admin problems will fix it pronto ).
Moving on to your problem, I used to have a post about the mods/bf2/shaders/staticmesh.fx not found! error but I think yours is very similar. Let's skip all the solutions I had listed, and go to the most drastic yet bullet-proof one: reinstalling.
- In case you didn't already get a backup of the following folder from your previous machine(s), make a backup copy of the C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Battlefield 2 folder (contains your controls and settings);
- Proceed to uninstall Battlefield 2 from your machine, completely. Please let me know how you installed the game (CD/DVD I am assuming?) and also if said installation has created an "Uninstaller" option in your Control Panel > Uninstall a program menu (I am pretty curious).
If you need help uninstalling, because you do not get said uninstaller, ping me back. - Reboot your PC;
- For this issue, it's advised you fix any registry issues related with Battlefield 2 - by using CCleaner's features, again, ping me back if you're not used to it - before starting the new installation. It's also strongly recommended you make a backup of the Registry, before you fix its issues: CCleaner will prompt you to create one before solving the issues it finds: do the backup;
- You'll be prompted to reboot your machine again. If not, reboot it manually anyway;
- Download this BF2 installer (created by an old friend of mine). It contains all you need in order to get the game installed, its expansion and booster packs, PunkBuster, DirectX 9.0c etc. ... minus BF2Hub, which you will need to install and setup at a later time (after you get the 1.5 version of BF2 installed).
For any doubts, I am here John,

Thanks you very much Shark,
Used control panel to uninstal everything incuding hub, downloaded ccleaner and ran that, copied the whole bf2 folder in my documents folder from a third slow machine ,saved that on a usb stick, now rebooting , and looking for the downloader from Pvtstandon.
To be continued
Footnote, before i even started doing any loading of bf2, i created a restore point,

Ok John, waiting for updates. So you had an entry in the Control Panel, cool. I asked that because with most of our "Battlelog.co" installations, we didn't get one. The installer I gave you instead will register an uninstaller so that it's easy to get rid of the game if need be.
That is why I would be interested in knowing what media you used to install the game, if you can tell me of course. CD/DVD? Origin / Steam? Cool thing about the restore point, it may help you if things go haywire with your system but I guess this won't be the case.
Anyways I take it for granted you ran the "Registry" tool of CCleaner right? Finally moving the Battlefield 2 folder between different systems is mainly suggested so that you don't have to remap all your controls or (special) settings; specifically it's the Controls.con file inside of it (path: ..\Profiles\0001\) that carries the control bindings.
The other .con files you can use for reference. Also if you have any custom localization files, you should port them from your old machine or from your personal repository. I have some, if you wanna try them.

Ok, to start I have the original bf2 disc I bought when it first came out,(EAGames dvd) Since then Patch 1.41 came out and I downloaded it and burnt it to disc, , Patch 1,5 came out I again downloded it and burnt it to another disc, I have used these three discs to load ever since,No problem with XP, or win win7 32 bit, but probs with win7 64 bit, but got it going with a strange log in my son set up.
Now the updates, Uninstalled bf2 and hub through controol panel ran ccleaner, and rebooted.
Loaded first disc(main Programme),Also the Game dvd included diectx 9, so loaded that as well. And I can play the game off line(single player ).
Loaded Patch 1.41 and got this ;-
Clicked on ok, and instantly got this :-
Carried on and loaded patch 1.5, got to here Aand got this :-
Other people have had this problem, but I am scared to try it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aArDXVRHWE
I am afraid of touching registry things, as I am not technical, Not really sure about running cccleaner Registry thingy , is it safe ect. is this where it says scan for issues ?/.
Also. I have downloaded from punkbuster, and tried update, and it says all updates are up to date.
This is the bf2 folder opened:-
Wish you lived next door Shark lol.

Hey John, as previosuly stated I suggested you to go on with PvtStandOn's installer as it is an all-in-one solution, no patches needed! And it comes with Special Forces too on top of the additional maps that we have in the vehicle rotation so that you don't have to worry about anything.
So please, follow the given instructions again; and yes for CCleaner follow this procedure a couple times (skip steps 4 and 5) and you're good to go (it is safe, so much so that the software prompts you to create a backup of the things it is going to edit / delete ).

Not longer than what it would take to me for sure. ahah
When you are done downloading, simply extract the contents of the zip file.
Extract them inside a new folder: you will get two folders and 1 setup file, which is the only one you need to run. It will take care of everything, just go forward and change the details you want to change (like the installation path for example, although it's best to leave it to the default one).
At the end of the installation of the game you will be prompted to insert your CD-Key (if I recall correctly the key manager software is called after the first progress bar gets full, thus prior firing the DirectX 9.0c and PunkBuster installations which complete the full installation process); so insert your own CD-Key in both the Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2 Special Forces fields (don't worry if your key was only meant for Battlefield 2 ... as GameSpy does not exist any longer, so does the value your key has :'D ).
Well, you should be able to find it attached to your genuine copy of the game! Where did you take it from, the last time you had to install the game? Or, better question: with battlelog.co each of us got the so called " Revive Key", which was simply a unique CD-Key issued by battlelog.co, for the battlelog.co users. Do you have it stored somewhere by any chance? We could use that one.
Finally yes: after you have completed the installation of the game, go ahead and reinstall BF2Hub over it. This should be an easy one, as you have already done it on the previous Computer; plus I find it to be a really user-friendly software, I'll give them that.

This is getting complicated, .do i have to "create" a new file to extract them into ?.
What is an installation path?
And I dont know my installation key unless it is the row of 5 sets of letters on the installation disc ???

Yeah that's it! The 5 groups of letters/numbers is your CD-Key. Use it for both Battlefield 2 and Special Froces when prompted. Eventually when you join our Servers we'll verify if your admin rights work or not.
Forget what I said about changing the installation path; it's not important and the default one is ok (really, don't worry about this, I shouldn't have mentioned it as it is something only 2% of the BF2 players may have changed during the installation process sorry).
About the extraction of the zip file I simply meant you may want to extract the files into an empty folder of yours; but forget about this too as upon extraction the files are already put under a Battlefield 2 Complete Install folder for your convenience.
