Then you should give it a try. It is easy to use. And even the free Version has many Options. I am using this since a Year or Two, dunno anymore xD.

I guess he wants an expert opinion on whether this Software is actually doing anything useful and if it's been a waste of time having it for 2 years?

I have tried it and the improvements it gives, isn't as effective, as optimizing the operating system for gaming. Also the fact it's no longer available
I will say tweaking.com has some very nice programs, that can help many users.
Personally, I use their simple system tweaker, which is portable (can be downloaded as an install). I choose every general tweak it has, networking tweaks and services tweaks. I choose not to do the visual tweaks, as I have already done those, but this is my personal preference, use at your discretion. Each setting has an explanation as to what it does, so it's fairly user friendly. I also suggest clicking the networking tab and "click here for more network tweaks you setup manually" is followed, especially if your system uses a NVidia network solution.
I keep this program on a flash drive and use it on each and every system I work on, fast and easy tweaks, for gaming purposes.
