Windows 10 should do all of what I read.!!! re-seed the video card..(take it out (keep it out ) then reboot.. Then boot it back up with the Video card IN !! Windows 10 should do it or Go to the maker and download the driver for windows 10 (hope you know to get rid of the old driver you get from the down load.. I would be sure that If you put the card you have and the Windows problem It would help better.(with a search) on the net.

Really good suggestions going on in this thread. The first thing I thought was to wipe the OS entirely, and have a clean installation. This is mainly because the in-place update of Windows 10 does not often land softly on PCs.
Regarding the Hard Drive test I'd have a look at this freeware: Crystal Disk Info. You can download the standard edition here: http://crystalmark.info/download/index-e.html. Last version is 7.0.5, I personally have the 6.1.14 version installed.

We completely reinstalled the GPU driver and installed a new version which came out in December 2016 but the issue occurred again. The bluescreen shows VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, I made an Minidump with detailed information if you are interested.

My bet now would be overheating / dust. Did you say you'd taken the video card out and cleaned it? I can't remember if you did.
A few years ago when i cleaned out my Desktop PC which is now sat in storage i had to completely unscrew the fan & heatsink on the Graphics Card to get all of the thick clumps of dust out.
Buying yourself a can of compressed air from Amazon / your local Hardware Store will be really useful to clean it easily

I cleaned many computers. Get a new paint brush and a little pick (long thin screwdriver type) And a vacuum cleaner to brush and suck it out . Or as star said But take it outside that thin dusk will come back in the computer fast & Up your nose if you blow it out indoors.

Do you have another Video card that will work try installing it see if that fixes the problem .. Some cards just do not work with upgrades but put that card into another type machine it will or can. seen that before.
