If S_h_a_r_k_93 or Rico946 want to make this a Community Vote then I'm happy to go with the outcome of that. If Teamspeak is what everyone wants and would increase active players as you have both said then I will apply for the license and temporarily hide Donation stuff on the site, then I will have to work on a new Teamspeak Server Status module for the site. It will be a pain in the arse but possible.
I wasn't aware that there was a Non-Profit License for Teamspeak.

Never had any sound problems with TS3. Obviously it wouldn't be as popular among gamers if the sound quality was inferior.
No sarcasm, just facts.
I didn't say sound problems, I said lower sound quality which is certainly what I have experienced with Teamspeak.
Those Ventrilo vulnerabilities are for older versions which we do not use, either client side or server side and there are not nearly as many of them. Take a look at the search results yourself before sending a lmgtfy in future please.
Having looked into Teamspeak there is a Non-Profit License option: http://npl.teamspeakusa.com/ts3npl.php for self-hosting which could meet our needs but if you click through to "Continue to NPL Application" you will see that they even consider Donations as "profit"... Ridiculous when they are 100% spent towards our running costs. To apply for this license I would have to temporarily hide all Donation stuff on the site...

Concerning the look, it is true that TS3 looks more professional. However i don't really care cause I'm not in Ventrilo or TS3 to look at the program itself. It's for communicating ans that's all I care about.
I will continue to use Ventrilo, I just hope that it will be more frequently used.

Depends how many slots, could be significantly more. Either way, there's no point throwing good money away for the sake of it. Especially when Donations have only hit the monthly target once.

That's nice, we don't all have the same ears either so not everyone will notice. My hearing ability is very strong.

Depends on your Windows Version / Desktop Graphics Settings. On Windows 10 it looks much better than the nasty TS3 UI to me:

Whilst I do think your intentions are good, I feel like you are on a bit of a personal crusade against Ventrilo because you're a Teamspeak lover / Ventrilo hater. Teamspeak is really not good quality VOIP software as far as I'm concerned, if you get used to Vent you'll realise it's superior too. There are 5 main reasons why I prefer Ventrilo:
1) Financial, we host the Ventrilo Server ourselves, we'd have to pay for Teamspeak
I understand this one... it would mean €20-30 more expenses a year...

Yes I like the open mindset star, thanks. well it indeed seems like there are two sides, one for ventrilo and one for ts3, I will accept ventrilo considering you're not the only one backing it up and like i said my major problem is solved (tx shark).
