This is exactly why I don't think it's fair to have the carrier protected from all attacks and arty, while having airfield open to all attacks, even arty (except spawned jet). Commanders arty the (heli)pad constantly, making it impossible to start flying. The heli spawns slow on this map (on gulf it's way faster, weird) so by the time it spawns, commander has new arty. On top of that, USMC heli can rape the hell out of the spawning heli from a far distance wide. It would be even more logical to allow rape on the carrier, since they have the way stronger ESSEX vs. that stinger on airfield. Anyways, if you don't want to make it uncap, okay, but at least have some balanced protection regarding the "untouchable" status from the carrier implimented by the rules.
Anyways, that's my opinion, open for reasoning

You can always just take a tank and block the heli from spawning until arty is over .. problem solved.

Well but that may get you killed either way, right?
Perhaps it would be helpful to set up a rule against artillering the heli pads and the Jet spawn? Cause the US spawns are on the carirer ... the carrier is protected from arty ... as a consequence the spawns are protected too.
Shouldn't China have such protections over Heli / Jet spawns as well, at the least?

Ahhh know I understand what you meant ingame with "yet you said you dont agree"...sry mate, i couldn't read your previous message because you were dead, while I was alive at this moment.
Now I can answer correctly: Yes, that seems unfair at first sight, but like Kaasentra and 5tarLine mentioned, there are always counter measures. Moreover your jets should focus on enemy jets and attack choppers first. I see a lot of players in friendly jets bombing some petty infantry or cars on the ground while there are much bigger threats in the air.
Use the IGLAs as Team China against the more powerful F35, I can guarantee you there is nothing more annoying, even for the best F35 jet pilot, than one J10 and 1 or 2 IGLAs.

No, Airfield is not a fixed base and the Chinese start with 5 capped bases... Take a jet and bomb the artillery or go Spec Ops and C4 it if you need to get the chopper up.

I've undoubtedly spent more time playing on our servers (particularly Wake) than anyone else full stop. Just been busy with work the last few weeks so haven't had a chance to play barely at all, some of us have to fund this place.
Your definition of unbalanced is not the same as mine, different levels of skill/ability on each team is just how it goes, you can't enforce rules on that. Providing the number of players on each team is not totally unbalanced then it's fine. You can't have really close rounds and very even teams skill-wise every round, that's just not realistic. In any case, I didn't think this topic was about balance.

It was about the aircrafts and then capturable airfield/untouchable carrier community discussions can go everywhere
