Starting yesterday, I opened BF2 and the new kit unlocked thing popped up and I thought to myself "A new kit? I thought I was still at sergeant. Maybe I was promoted and didn't notice" so I unlocked the weapon, which was the G36E. I decided to have a look at BFHQ, and noticed that I was in fact still at sergeant. Just then the new kit unlocked thing showed up again, which seemed weird because I've never seen that happen before. I thought it was either some strange bug or something that happens at half to staff sergeant, so I decided to go with it and unlock the rest of weapons there, which was the G36KV, PKM, Jackhammer and the DAO-12. Afterwards in BFHQ the only weapons unlocked were the ones I already had(L85A1, M95 and G3) I think that it probably was just a bug after all, and get on with my day. Then, when I join a server I see that the weapons are unlocked after all. Is this normal or some weird glitch? Could maybe it have something to do with BF2Hub's maintenance? Any ideas why BF2 gave me extra unlocks when it probably shouldn't have?

The G36E was earned even though you didn't rank up. You have a medic veteran badge, which provides the second tier unlock for that class.
According to your rank and badges you should have 5 total unlocks. Four in the first tier and the one in second tier from the veteran badge.
So some sort of bug from maintenance, or other glitch, gave you 3 extra unlocks.
Just go with it, is all you can do.

Okay, thanks. I just don't really like having an unfair advantage over other players in the same rank.
