So i wanted to join lost-soldiers SF server yesterday to play with you guys , i have never ever played SF online before , and what happened is that whenever i try to join the server or any other server it shows me a massage that tells me to buy the game with a button direct me to SF web page on EA site , i tried to change the key using BF2KeyMan tool and that did not solve the problem , though Battlefield 2 works with not a single problem !
BTW, i don't have original real CD-Keys for the hole Complete Collection game , i use fake generated ones.

Why don't you use our prepatched Version of the game?
• Go to the Forum, Military Base board (make sure to be logged in first)
• Read the sticky thread to get your hands on the download
Thats it and you'll never ever have problems with BF2.

I even did this despite having a physical copy (DVD Complete Collection) of the game.
In contrast to the DVD, the installation only took a few minutes and I used the key from my DVD to avoid any hassle with BF2Hub and other Servers.

Thank you for replying , and i know that your prepatched Version is the best way to play online without any problem , but i have a really slow internet speed "200 kb/s" !
I wish that there is a simple easy tweak that will fix the problem

Do you actually have Special Forces installed or not? You can check by opening the BF2Hub Client and there is a dropdown menu for "mods", Special Forces (xpack) should appear there if it's installed correctly.

Yes sir ofc i have it , i actually run BF2 and BF2 Special Forces using BF2Hub Client , and i can play Special Forces in Single player mode log in with my main BF2 online account , btw i have the complete collection version of the game.

Right, so you can start the "xpack" modification, you can enter the Multiplayer menu and browse the Special Forces internet servers (including ours), so far so good correct?

BUT when you double-click on our server, or select it and press JOIN SERVER, you receive a popup that says to purchase the expansion pack? Did I write the steps correctly?

I offer this to some people in the past, if you like i can make a torrent drop and if we coordinate this right, you can suck it over night when you sleep. It can also be done in two or three days, i just have to be online with my PC!

Special Forces worked for me after a clean install by using lost-Soldiers installer "i have started the download before i went to sleep using Free Download Manager "
everything work great except 2F4Y server ! , i double-click on the server , the server load the map , and when i press "Join" the server disconnects me and gives me this massage:
"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the official version to join.

I managed to fix 2F4Y problem by slowdown the load process of the map using Alt+Tab while loading the map.
