Are you on Windows 7 or 10? Did you install with our instructions?

I am having the same issue at the thread indicates, every time i press play on bf2 it just disappears.
I am running windows 10, and followed all instructions precisely.
I configured the launcher menu in bf2hub and got an error message, idk how to attach images here, but i got a screenshot.

Hello Jack Lejeon and welcome.

If the error is "Unknown DynamicOption value 800x600" with no mention of @60Hz and you're on an HP Laptop you should read this topic: https://www.lost-soldi...opic&topic=1327#15253

Otherwise you can upload the picture to an image hosting website like imgur.com and post the share link here or, if you feel brave, this tutorial will show you how to embed the picture (after uploading it to an image host).

P.S. you can upload the picture on Lost-Soldiers too, just make sure you're logged in and visit this link to create a gallery and then upload a picture inside of it, then link the gallery/picture in your next reply happy

Could you share a screenshot of what you're looking at now, on the Intel Graphics Command Center? Did you read the notes N1 and N2 in the linked topic? According to the article in N2 the “Custom Resolution” option - at the end of the available resolutions, if you don't see it you need to install the Beta version of the Command Center - should allow you to add any supported resolution to the list of existing resolutions BUT Advanced Custom Resolution is not supported for Built-In Displays.

So it does indeed talk about "supported" resolutions, perhaps the monitor built into your specific model of HP Laptop cannot handle the 800x600 resolution at all; would you be able to write what is the model of this Laptop so that I can add it to the list in the linked topic? In that topic I have a secret note regarding HP Laptop 15-da0xxx which could not solve the problem with new graphics control panel, is your model starting with 15-da0?

Finally, if you have an external monitor I would invite you to see if you can set that one to the custom resolution of 800x600. Chances are that maybe ... maybe if that screen becomes your main screen (eg. closing the Laptop lid or re-assigning the external monitor in the Windows Settings as primary) then Battlefield 2 will be able to start (as you probably guessed by now, BF2 needs 800x600@60Hz in order to boot up, it's kind of a hard-coded fail-safe resolution).

Questions summary

  1. share a screenshot of your Intel Graphics Command Center with the button you pressed and the error
  2. write the exact model of your HP Laptop so we can see the specifications in detail
  3. tell us if you have an external monitor (even a TV with VGA port is fine) that you can plug into the Laptop
