So, my name is Cliff and I've been a BF2 fanatic since launch! I remember going to EB games in St. John's NL and grabbing my copy after seeing the intro video which I think came on a PC Gamer cd. I also remember upgrading my computer with a GTX275 and a Soundblaster X-FI Fatality and fully experiencing the game for the first time.
I've really enjoyed BF3 and ARMA/ 2/ 3, but there's just something about BF2 that hits all the marks for playability and 'realism'. For example I really enjoy how unforgiving it is, how the hitboxes do not count clothing/ gear as a hit, and how the ballistic modeling makes sense to me vs my limited experience with real firearms.
I am infuriated by how randoms STILL don't seem to join squads, but it's also comforting.
In my personal life I really enjoy Martial Arts as training and entertainment (a rare bird who enjoys both MMA and TradMA), I also like WH40k (though I only paint, and little at that LOL).
I sure can't play like I used to (it's been a decade), but man am I ever having fun. Your website is also very retro, and I say that as a compliment! The nostalgia factor is huge, but I also just feel..... comfortable here. So thanks.
