Hello Gents, for some reason i keep getting banned from your BF2 servers with out any reason, i dont break any of the rules, i join the server play for about 3-5 minutes then BAM, im booted then i try top rejoin and it claims im banned for teamkilling or such and such, this isnt the only server that does that, as a matter of fact most of them are doing this to me, i was hoping we could figure this out and get my unbanned at the same time, THANKS - Mcbam

you are using a license key that you have found on the internet, like many other players that do not know that the game is abandonware and there is no content-check on the license key. When this happens, every player that connects to any BF2 Server with the same license key will disconnect the others, and so on. When you get disconnected, and you rejoin another server, you will disconnect others too.

We're talking in the hundreds, really (not sure if you disconnect a hundred players or so, probably not; what I mean is that hundreds have gone through the same problems and probably quit the game because they didn't know better). You are not banned (albeit most of the license keys that you find online already are).

Please find instructions to reinstall the game from scratch in our Military Base Forum Board. I suggest that you uninstall both the game and the BF2Hub Client (because it's easier to patch the game for online during installation rather than within the client), and just follow our instructions from beginning to end.

Very well Shark 93, thank you for the tip, HOWEVER i have 2 questions,
1) I noticed that alot of people were asking for a link in the fourm for said fix, so i was wondering if it actually works before i uninstall and all that stuff,
2) Ive heard that i can change the CD/Product Key in the INI/CONFIG file, and was wondering if that would be a possible fix?

glad you came back to check your own thread (as unusual as it may sound, most of the newcomers that create a ban appeal like yours never actually bother to get back to reply to it, and maybe even check it as visitors ... ).

Anyways no that's not how you should fix the issue, what you want to do is to uninstall the game that you currently have installed, uninstall BF2Hub Client as well (you will reinstall it later, when instructed), and then follow the instructions on page one of the other thread that you have found.

There's a hundred pages of link requests because the process for getting the link used to be different many months ago; it still works and it gets updated regularly, you don't have to worry. While you're at it check out our main page, we're hosting an event for the weekend!
