I have had a lot of fun in the past on modded servers running normal BF2 where weapon damage has been tweaked to the max.
(could even be called an authenticity mod :-)
It makes you play the game differently when an eryx or sraw fires with the velocity of a sniper round or when sniper rounds kill with one shot.
Or when land mines have the explosive force and radius of an airstrike, hand grenades that of a land mine.
Lots and lots of fun, and nobody has to load a mod.

I have found a couple of additional Zombie Mods but I'm afraid they're too old and not fully supported.

Anyways I think this problem that you are showing comes from Battlefield 2, base game.

it seems to be awesome

it looks great ,it sounds great (even without BFHD Pro II). and it has plenty of maps.
+ my vanilla bf2 has changed aswell.

but, i guess there are other ways to install it just for the mod ? via bf2 hub maybe ?
my regular game has a blueish look atm. but, it should be easy to get back to regular vanilla.

okay, thanks for that info . i will install it later i think. and it seems that its not that hard to install. theres only 2 specific extra installs. shaders and something else. all those other downloads are just mappacks. easy peasy. or should i say , we will see. a little pessimism cant be wrong

No I do not have that mod. I was interested in it once since the Heat of Battle Mod as a map pack specially for it: https://www.moddb.com/...ds/hd-remastered-map-pack

But I'm in the same boat in that I'm running BF2 with a mix of medium and high settings.

Yes it changes the quality of the environment quite a bit and last time I spoke with BarrellRider he actually told me that it doesn't put that much of a strain on your system ... that beig said, if you play Battlefield 2 on Medium like me and you're struggling already, perhaps it's better to leave the vanilla files where they are.
