Hello Guys
So i wanted to test Battlefield 2 on Linux , using old computer "G210 + Core 2 duo E8400 + 4Gb of ram" gives me 80-100 fps on windows 7 64bit, 1440x900"native resolution", 100 scale, everything low and off except: Texture,Texture filtering, and Geometry at high settings
For Linux i got MX Linux 19.4 64bit xfce 4.19 kernel, with the latest NVidia driver for G210, using Playonlinux with wine default version "6.5" and i got 40 fps avg goes to 30 when playing online "same video settings" !!!!!! that is really huge difference !!!
So what do you think the problem is guys !? , is it normal !? , maybe the the wine version is the problem !? , what wine version should i test !?

That's quite the difficult inquiry, I don't know honestly, perhaps it comes down to the drivers performance OR you have a built-in graphics card and it's using that one instaed of the more powerful dedicated GPU.

Yo ViRuSeS,

i think booman has something to say to this- Have a look here: http://www.gamersonlin...ield-2-patches-guide.158/ and also here: https://www.playonlinu...-Project_Reality_BF2.html

And yes i know it seems to be a necropost, but it isn't!
The info provided is still relevant and commenters from last year also say this.
