Battlefield 2 • Game crashes upon launch even in safe mode

I am trying to start the game, though, when it does launch it crashes after the intro scene. I have tried launch in safe mode and changing my resolution in the launch. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello TWB_Corley and welcome to the Forums.

I suppose that you have downloaded the installer from our Military Base, is that correct? Also when you say "safe mode" you mean Windowed Mode right? Make sure that the BF2Hub Client is configured like in the following picture, or perhaps safe mode will not start correctly:

In Windowed Mode you should be able to see the error that makes the game crash; if you see the introduction clip and not the game menu it's a little weird though. Has the game worked before on this Computer or is the first time you're trying to install it?
