Attention Soldiers! To quote the previous Promotions Topic (#5): As many of you will be used to by now I'm often quite delayed and slow at pushing these things through, partly owing to real life pressures and partly because I like to try and write something substantial as opposed to just providing a one-liner and congratulations, for this I apologise, but I hope you'll find the wait has been worth it. Congratulations  Roxxy - hereby promoted from Ranger to Officer!Roxxy has absolutely destroyed the requirements to become an Officer. Just to give you a flavour of that: '250 Hours Total Playing Time across our BF2 servers', Roxxy has 1050+ hours and counting! 'Minimum Team Score of 2500', Roxxy has over 50,000! In terms of the other requirements such as: Total Forum Posts; Number of Thank-You's Received; Total Donations and Referrals Roxxy is above the requirements for all of those too! [toggle=continue reading...]I think this goes to show that with the right attitude and commitment it's very much possible to meet the requirements and earn promotions here in our Community and within the estimated time-frames we decided upon too - Thank-you for demonstrating that so incredibly well.  your ability to wind up our resident fish, mr. shörk (just be careful not to push it too far)! From what I have seen of your Administrative abilities you are a calm and fair Admin and more than capable of handling the increased responsibilities that come with your new title and judging by some of the huge scores I've seen you racking up, you are without doubt a strong player too! The requirements to become a Staff Officer are no small feat and adding together data from his main account, alts and the old stats database (stats-archive), Dillmann has done more than enough to fulfill those requirements along with his position in the Top 5 Donators! However, when it comes to promotions to Staff Officer, there are many other things we factor in, hidden requirements if you like and this is where Dillmann truly shines. [toggle=continue reading...]If I had to pick three words to associate with Dillmann and his story with Lost-Soldiers they would be: Dedication, Dilligence and Dependability. Dedication because he's been a consistent presence here for several years now, a dedicated player, Administrator and Member of this Community in that time as well. Dilligence because throughout that period (and still continuing) he has done a lot of work behind the scenes; spending many hours watching BattleRecorder Demos and utilising his expert knowledge of Battlefield 2 to accurately spot irregular game-play behaviour in order to help us keep our Servers free of cheaters. Dependability because in all these years he has continued to do all of the things above and I can't think of a single time he has let me or the Community down. These Three D's are Pillars of Honour and form perhaps the most important unwritten requirement to becoming a Staff Officer: Trust, which Dillmann has earned in abundance. I'd like to add an additional thank-you for doing the 'dirty-work' that many Members don't like to or don't have the ability to do well in terms of analysis: all those hours spent watching BR Demos - much appreciated! Dillmann or 'Detective Dillmann' as we have aptly nicknamed him for his work securing our Servers from trolls and cheaters is one of a handful of people who I've met online that I would consider a friend and I'm sure there are several other Members who feel the same. We share a love of music, great food (Dillmann cooks some cracking meals) and comedy that pushes the boundaries. We also have an uncanny ability to remember and recall bad player names and data, often from many years ago in common. So thank-you for all the great conversations we've had, laughs and those pictures of your homemade burgers et al. (even if all they did was make us hungry and jealous we didn't get to have a bite!) I'm sure I don't need to add much about Dillmann's BF2 Skills, we all know he is one of the best heli players on our servers but he only plays for fun now and is always very modest - which is admirable, particularly when back in the day (around 2009) he was #1 on ESL's Heli 1on1 Ladder - something he has kept quiet because he doesn't like to brag - but shark does so go watch his fun ride mit Dillmann : ) Thank-you & Well done! Sometimes in life funny coincidences happen at the weirdest times. Anyone that follows the #tv channel in our Discord Server may be aware that I am fond of a TV Show called Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Having never before or since heard of a "Dillmann" (besides our own Dillmann) imagine my surprise when in the last couple of weeks a new episode aired with a special guest character for that particular episode... A certain: "Dillmann" and not just a "Dillmann"; a "Detective Dillmann" that is (for the majority of that episode at least  So according to Google results they've actually spelled this character's name as "Dillman" but close enough! I knew this was a sign that I had to get a move on with these promotions at least I thought I would have to cut this out of the episode and host the video online somewhere myself but thankfully someone has taken care of this on YouTube for me.
