 - 5 Thank-You's received on the Forum & 5 given
 - Donated a minimum of £10*
 - Introductory Forum Post Made
 - Speak English (Basic English is OK - We Welcome International Players)
 - A Working Microphone
 - TeamSpeak Installed
 - Completed Membership Application

 - Reserved Slot On All BF2 Servers
 - Light In-game Admin (Say, Warn, Kick & Switch-self)
 - Light Discord / TeamSpeak Admin (Move & Kick)

I've setup your PBBans welcome message already. Just enter one of our BF2 Servers and read the message on the top. I fear that if you take too long to join you may not see it. But everyone else will.

The GGC Welcome message I will need to look into setting up and I think you may need to have an account.

The PBBans welcome message looks fine; but I'm a little bit concerned as to why all the Players need to know my IP Address when I join the Server, on the GGC welcome message. :|

Create yourself an account on www.GGC-Stream.net and I will add you as an Admin so it won't show the IP.
Just send me your userID / a link to your account in PM.

When you have this setup you can also look up cheaters like we discussed before.

Just make sure you are wearing them when you play on Lost-Soldiers BF2 Servers. Is that ok?

Is there a fast way to switch them that I'm not aware of, other than logging out and in from the game or editing the Global.con file? :o

Seems like the change didn't kick in yet, or maybe the message needs to be manually tweaked.
Good news is, Auto Admin works now. Kinda unfair though, that it spoils stealth attacks; is that what it did in the pic?

Hmm Strange, I'm not sure why your Admin message isn't showing up, It might be that the server needs a restart (but I doubt it).
I will take a look later, I hope it's possible, I thought it was...

I changed the Spec Ops detection time to be much lower (immediate) but it's not supposed to show a warning until a few minutes. Did you see that warning immediately?

Whoopsie, no that's my one and only (old) GGC Account, but it has no GUID linked to it. amused My bad.

I couldn't be sure about the warning, as I was under the Carrier and I had just joined the Server. I saw the warning when I took the screenshot and also another equal warning a few seconds later; but I don't know if elangeravengador had been on the Carrier for 2 minutes or so.

EDIT: Okay I have added my Full GUID to "My GUIDs", in my User Control Panel on GGC. That's what you asked me to do, right? Cause the other day I saw Rico946's GUID greenlisted somewhere; but I can't find it now. Excited

Yep, still testing to be done with various things on the BF2 Servers.

I think your GGC-Admin is sorted now. When you connect to the server you should get a different connection message from GGC than other soldiers.

I know some people don't like having their IP shown to others but the message only displays very briefly and it helps me pick out cheaters returning with dynamic iPs very quickly smiling

Also, having someone else know your IP doesn't put you under a great risk of being hacked as most people seem to think.

Come on! The requirements for Ranger (it's the first Membership level) are not difficult after all! smile

By the way 5tarLine, don't you feel it's more logical to list Ranger at the top of the post, then Officer and then finally Staff Officer? Otherwise people will read a lot of high requirements when they really need to just start with Ranger and work their way up.

Right now it sounds like they need to work their way down! amused ahah

Hey I'd bump the referral points from 2 to 5 for Officers, and from 5 to 10 to Staff Officers. I would also increase the thank-yous to 25 for Officers, and 50 for Staff Officers, given the values that you can see in the regular Forum users' profile pages.

What do you think?

I find it difficult to get referral points, I thought Vogeljunge was going to join,( nice guy ) but he seems to have just visited. He has another pal, from Chec.
and will try and get him to join as well, but don't hold out much hope.

Vogeljunge actually registered on the website on the 27.1.17. You can see that on the left site on the main page below "LastEnlistments"
The problem with the referral points is that some players dont state your name when they register...I don't know if you received the point in the case of Vogeljunge

Ok guys.

If you logout and check the Enlistment page you will see that I've moved us all to the top of the: "Who told you about us?" list so we're easier to find.

It sounds like the Referral System could be improved. Perhaps I can write some new functions into it to send you a PM when somebody gives you a referral point.

For now though it's not too difficult. On your profile page, scroll down until you see "Referral Points" underneath the "Personal Info" container. Remember what you have there and when you see a new Soldier has Enlisted that you instructed to, you can check to see if this increases. If it doesn't increase you can let me know and I'll add a point manually.

England jostotest - You now have 1 point. Is that correct?

A minimum donation of £10 to support Lost-Soldiers Community & our Services has been added to the Ranger Requirements.

Hello all, Can't believe I found a community still playing BF2. I am a battlefield franchise veteran. BF2,2142, special forces, bad company, BF4 and mods project reality, P.O.E and others. Love battlefield way more then COD. Love big maps and tanks. I am so in if you let me. But how can I get back in. I'm thinking I can't use my old versions copies of the game. this is not the correct Forum Thread where you would request help regarding these issues.
Please add your next reply here and tell us:

A) what is your in-game nickname in Battlefield 2,
B) tell us if you have ever managed to connect to any one of our servers,
  (if yes, let us know which server it was)
