In the last time we had tested as it is with the commander from 12 persons in wake. The basic idea is good. It annoys when only 4 people are on the server and someone plays commander. But it was the last time also a bit tiring if you were 10 people and it was missing the last person and he is hiding. Since we currently do not have so many people on wake have we perhaps set the number down? to 8 or 10? I would also find it good with the commander at special forces too. So from 10 people. In special forces the commander is lovingly taken. Autoadmin kicks then always industriously for fighting commander.

What do you think about this?

Well given that we are seeing less and less players lately (or, better: players play less often on our servers than they used to do before), decreasing the threshold of the Disable Commander scriot sounds like a legit idea to me.

To answer your question, the threshold has not been changed and should be 12 players minimum (in order to enable the commander); last thing I know is that 5tarLine was going to install the script on all of our public servers.

So are you suggesting we reconsider the current situation and scale it down to 10 instead of 12?

Are you implying 6 players per team or 6 players in total (so 3 vs 3)?

Commanders ruin games when there are too few players, it's no fun to have a Commander when there are a small number of players and considering we already have 10 Fake Clients in the Server making up nearly half of the required players to activate Commander there's no need to change this.

You don't have to play Commander all the time.

You have just arrived and you already want to be the equal of our staff and change the functioning of our servers! Did you just imagine that all this could be the result of a long experience of our leaders? Did you take the time to find out about everything that led to it? the forum is there for this function!

In short, you present yourself as the savior of our poor servers: understands that this can be very devaluing for our moderators; how do you want them to accept that?

I have to agree with starline. Time had shown that with little players a commander is rather negative. On our main server wake island it is possible to have a commander most of the time. no worry wink

But games without commander are often better. the players must learn to read minimap. where is an empty jet = bailer/jumper, where an empty boat or vehicle emerges are enemies. you have to do more and the game is more intense. Also, you can extend a game without commander. if china only has one flag and the opposing team rape them and has a commander, team china has bad chance. if they manage to find a detour or swim to the other side, the commander spot them and they are dead. without commander, the team has at least one chance to take new flags.

Uhm, we are not discrediting Germany Dillmann at all (as his is actually a sarcastic objection towards your "commanding skills", and we are pointing that out because you did not seem to get it).

If there's something we are implicitly discrediting instead it is your poor understanding of the English language and English sarcasm / jokes in general (as this is actually the second time that you mistranslate something we have written).

I spend most of my time on either Oman or Vehicle Rotation, Wake just as a last resort.
I can spend all day on either of these two servers and never have enough for a commander, very often it's only 1v1
Maybe you are looking at this from the wrong perspective ?
With only 1 or 2 per side the best way to be able to actally fight the enemy is to be commander, otherwise you just follow the flags that the other person has taken down like a stats padding sort of musical chairs, while the other plays a game of run and hide.
Boring.
A game of Commander v Commander up's the stakes and is very enjoyable.
When you get the 10 people per side, you no longer need a Commander because you have enough people to spot the enemy over all of the map, also if there are more skilled players on one side than the other having no Commander evens it out a bit, like on Wake where the weaker team can't get off the boat because the Commander spots them and they get stomped on immediately.
I think only allowing Commander when there are more players per side is a wrong assumption.
