A couple of days ago in a different thread i posted how i had a great game with a couple of other players on Vehicle Rotation, that reminded me of the best (most enjoyable) game of BF2 i ever played. I was on a server running the Zatar Wetlands map just flying around practicing bombing and such, time per map was at the max (1 hour ? 2? dont know what is possible but it went on for a very long time) as were tickets. After a short time a second player joined and so i jumped in a jet and baled over Central Island and took the flag, just as the flag went up the other player baled out of a jet and i shot him, he spawned on the carrier, got jet, baled over island, shot me. And that was how the game went for ages and ages, just the two of us fighting over the Island flag, kill the other player, find a place to ambush him when he came back, maybe it worked, maybe it didn't, if not find a different place to jump out of jet next time, sneak up from an unexpected direction. It was great, i was laughing the whole time and it lasted so long my face hurt at the end. Once the round was eventually over i had killed him 57 times, he is now my "most killed" in my BF2 stats, a number that high reeks of Stats Padding but this time it was the best round i ever played. Incidentally, in my stats one can also see "time dead" Zeit tot gewesen 71:01:30 Chew that one over, 71 hours doing absolutely fuckin nothin, just staring at a screen that says "you will respawn in 15..14..13.." That comes from the way i play the game, if i see on the hud that an enemy squad is headed for an unguarded flag i will spawn there, fully knowing that they are probably going to kill me and take the flag anyway but i might be able to maybe slow them down a bit and maybe even take one or two with me. I think that is the only way to be able to fully enjoy the game. I have never been interested in k/d ratios, points or medals, i will run through a door or round a corner knowing that there is somebody lying in ambush because i cant be bothered to sneak round the back. Its only a game, fuck it, i'll get him next time .  p.s. Seatswitchers fuck the game up for everyone ! Same here - never cared about stats. All I cared about ranking is just so that I get my L85, my favorite AR  And yeah, sometimes I have the greatest fun with only 2-4 people on the server |

Yeah, I had a good 1v1 last week with Dillmann. Dillmann, i know you record games, can you send me a copy of wake island last week where I killed you five times in a row (or was it six ? I lost track) and you didn't spawn any more because you couldn't get a heli? I really really want to watch that bit where you snuck all the way over to the carrier (did you turn autoadmin off for that?) To get the AH and it blew up cos I had put a mine on it. I don't record 'games', McBrain. The LS-servers (bf2) are runnig battlerecorder so it should no be no problem for the average brain to get their copy. But i remember ofcourse this round. You did attack the grounded heli with your F35, right? These awesome '1v1'-rounds are sadly not possible anymore for players like you. eg. jumping at AF, taking the tank and going commander to UAV themself. :/ No comment, Veteran Colonel. Your guess. |
