Yea, i just downloaded it few weeks ago, again. its like bf2 but with new weapons, sounds, effects and maps and mostly played in coop. just to name few things - dragon valley at night - miniguns - miniguns for soldiers - miniguns on cars - minigun for co pilot in little bird - A-10 minigun effects and sound - up to 4 different type of bombs/rockets on planes - smart bombs on planes - tv missile locks on vehicles - vehicles have flare type counter and bots use them - HE and AT shells for tanks - many helis and planes - 2 stage zoom for snipers Download and see for yourself links Core Files Map Files TNG Mappack part 1 TNG Mappack part 2 should be all you need to play on populated servers. hf cya |

ooh yeah! if you want to play this version you linked (AIX 2.0), you have to install a patch too: http://www.moddb.com/m...s/aix-15-unofficial-patch but i can recommend the mini-mod too, the patch is included: http://www.moddb.com/mods/aix2-expansion-minimod -> zoomable mg for the heli-gunner.. with nightvision. go slaughter you something on dragon valley moon  imho: with this mod you can see what the bf2-engine really can do. |

uhm ok, i didnt know about the patch. i have aix2.0 and TNG maps installed and play on shadowhawkz, everything seems to work for me without it. did you install the minimod? any cq servers running with it? mods, the best part about the old bfs. all kind of mods. prirates, ww1, ww2, korea, vietnam, modern warfare, starwars and lots of other stuff. btw, any ww2 nerds around? check out ForgottenHope, qualtiy mod. |

I played it and a friend annoyed me that I should bring it back to me. I dont like it because: My old laptop did not manage the game Too many dead bodies are in one place and you can not see who you can still revive Recognizes on distance enemies / friends too bad because nothing stands above humans No visible flags if one does not use the map Strict squads where you can not just take any vehicle as desired Thats not fun for me. I will be for my buddy of the veteran gaming servern plays it however again load I know its not a "shooter" like BF2 ist more a project REALITY but I like more action  |

AIX days are LONGGGGGGGGGGGG Over with ..But I feel for you I started playing BF2 About the time AIX was dead / kind like how BF2 is now with pop. I just wish They get an AIX WAKE up with 64 players again ..  |

Been trying out AIX 2.0 online...sometimes I do see up to 6-7 people playing coop. What is the minimod? Is that a separate thingy? Tried PR, but just like the ARMA series, I prefer more kills happening within a shorter period of time because I don't have the luxury of playing more then 30 minutes (usually less), hence why I'm less keen. If I want realistic-ish physics, I play Insurgency -> roughly same physics, but since maps are smaller, kills happen more frequently. |

With the 1.5 Patch it was not possible to have mag-sizes over 9999 shots. So when you haven't patched the AIX2.0 mod (link 1) you cannot fly helis, the game will crash because the helis have more than 9999 shots. Another way is to install the minimod (link 2). It will patch the mag-size but as well puts other weapons and vehicles to it. For example, there is a zoomable MG for the heligunner in the Apache - with 'nightvision'. I love any jet which has the MOAB and ofcourse the Warzenschwein/Warthoag Fire and forget the MOAB. Don't care about teamkills. Rage hard. AIX is the(!) mod for running singleplayer stable too on 64 player+ maps with bots driving helis/jets etc. BF2 Vanilla gives you 16 players/bots on a 16 players-map. You have to install a mod for more bots/greeater maps too. |
