| Info/Description: | Summary The Lost-Soldiers Community and its talented users have crafted a customized version of this brilliant mod made by The Sir. Community. A lot of special car skins have been added on most maps, some cars make different custom sounds, try all camera views and press Pop Smoke button! If you're lucky enough you'll hear a song play inside the car. Additionally a couple of shortcuts have been disabled (namely Strike at Karkand jump and the more famous Mashtuur City hill shortcut), following the outcome of the 2020 Grand Prix. Finally the repack includes Santa's Race Track from the official Christmas Pack released in 2006, as well as a new completely custom-made Lost Island map based on the Lost-Soldiers insigna! We thank Frosty98B (check out his other projects) for all the support. Features The Circuit game mode has received some major pimping! The race will end instantly if you are alone in the server, the suicide penalty has been fixed; but more importantly results from all your races are now logged to file! After you've finished a race, check out the ./battleracer2/race results/ folder in the mod directory, you will see txt files with a summary of the race, your lap times, total and best time. Finally a new mode has been added in the racesettings.ini file (which by the way you're free to modify at any time, edits kick in when a new round loads) which is meant to help with the new 2022 Grand Prix Qualifying Session system that we're trying (best out of 3 laps wins the pole position).    Installation – download the file and extract it (in your Downloads folder); – copy the extracted sub-folder (battleracer2) into your mods folder (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\) so that you obtain C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\battleracer2\ Playing To activate the mod you can either go through the usual way (main menu > community > custom games > battleracer2 (ls edition) > activate) or you can use the custom shortcut that is shipped inside the mod's archive (if it does not work, create a new shortcut to BF2.exe and append these parameters in the target field: +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/battleracer2 +ignoreAsserts 1). If you have trouble installing this modification or patching it, feel free to contact S_h_a_r_k_93 either through the Forum or by using one of these channels. |
